Rural Development Programme

Objective of the programme

The programme’s main objective is renewal, preservation and improvement of ecosystems that are dependent on agricultural, particularly through agro-environmental measures, as well as investments aimed at competitiveness and innovation of agricultural enterprises, support for the entry of young people into agriculture and rural infrastructure. The programme will also support diversification of economic activities in the rural environment with the aim of creating new jobs and increasing economic development.

The programme document is approved for the period 2014-2020 and is the successor of the Rural Development Programme for the period 2007-2013.

Supported areas of the programme are divided into six priorities. Properties fall under, in particular, Priority Axis 2: Increased viability of agricultural enterprises and competitiveness of all types of agricultural activities in all regions and support for innovative agricultural technologies and sustainable forest management. The following activities are supported within this priority axis:

– Forestry infrastructure
– Initiation of activities of young farmers
– Investment in support for energy from renewable sources
– Investment in non-agricultural activities
– Investment in agricultural activities activities
